Rockywold-Deephaven Camps, on the shores of scenic Squam Lake (On Golden Pond) have been family camps since 1897. These camps were established by 2 pioneering women; Miss Alice Mable Bacon began Deephaven in 1897 and Mrs. Mary Alice Armstrong founded Rockywold in 1901. Mrs. Mary Alice Armstrong bought Deephaven in the summer of 1918 to carry on the ideals and dreams of its late founder and her friend, Miss Alice Mabel Bacon. This book chronicles a century through the lens of this unique palce.
